Alzata Piccola bowl
1,740 ₾Ceramic centrepiece ALZATA GRANDE was designed by Italian architect Ettore Sottsass in 1962 and was made by Bitossi Ceramiche artisans in Italy.
With its minimalist geometric forms, this piece is part a black and white series of hand-turned designs featuring decorations of thin, parallel black lines.
Bowl with torn edges
2,145 ₾Hand-turned bole in white fire-clay. The top of the vase it’s engraved, to create sections that are ripped off by hand. White matt glaze.
Clay is the name of the Formafantasma duo’s collection, never before has the name (Ghost Shade) been so well associated with the product. The material is predominant in the design, a formal working process that finds its expressive part in the lathe work: cylinder-shaped vases and disc-shaped bowls are engraved vertically in the upper part of the shape, producing sections, which are “torn” by hand, thus creating the irregular rim. Through this gesture, each element results in a unique work.
The surface is scratched by the lathe with the use of refractory clay. Colours alternate in eight catalogue proposals between sculptural matt white and pastel colours.
Starting from this work, the authors explored the raw and expressive qualities of ceramics, inspired by a project by Aldo Londi from the 1980s, which, for the occasion, has been included in the Historical Archive Re-edition collection.

This reissue is based on images and drawings of the prototype dating from 1946, when the first attempts were made to bend the veneer to its limits. The horse is made from one piece of veneer, the same material that was used shortly afterwards for Arne Jacobsen’s famous chairs.
The rocking horse is made of ash veneer with a rope “tail” and leather ears.

This new variant features a hand-painted antique finish in elegant bronze hues. Because each candle holder has been painted by hand, every single iteration of the piece is entirely unique. 4,370 ₾Jørgen Kastholm (1931-2007) and Preben Juhl Fabricius (1931-1984) were driven by a mutual mission to make form a pure derivative of function. Both were architects, graduating from the Danish School of Interior Design where they studied under Finn Juhl and subsequently with Arne Jacobsen. The P376 pendant lamp is a perfect example of Kastholm & Fabricius’ subtle architectural slant on design. Originally conceived in 1963, five concentric shades create gradations of curves towards the middle of the lamp to emit a soft, diffused light. The discrete placement of the shades and the silky aluminium finish culminate in a cohesive expression that’s both iconic and enthralling.
