The Kizu Table Lamp L has been created by Lars Tornøe for the brand New Works. From his self-named studio, Norwegian industrial designer Tornøe dreams up designs that pay homage to his Scandanavian roots while also being contemporary and timeless. The Kizu Table Lamp L he designed for New Works exemplifies his design ideals. This iconic lamp is a balancing act between a cylinder-shaped stem and the white acrylic hemispherical shade it supports. The contrast of the two geometries makes for a combined shape that is outstanding. The stem is made of white, black or Gris du Marais marble. The latter is a classic type of marble characterised by a unique, distinctive grey-brown mix of colours that appears to shimmer when light falls upon it. This uniquely shaped lamp casts a warm, white light upwards.
The Kizu Table Lamp L has a height of 45cm and a diameter of 30cm. It comes with a black or white PVC cord that is 180cm long. Its switch is 30cm from the base of the lamp. With its calming, glare-free light, this lamp is ideal for bedrooms. It also casts a warm, welcoming light in entryways. The appropriate bulb with an E27 socket can be ordered under accessories.
