It does so by bringing environmental sensitivity into the equation through using Green Cast, a material that is 100% recycled and recyclable, patented and made in Italy, featuring identical properties of classic methacrylate. With its brushed finish, the Green Cast used for the new 2050 diffusor restores a timeless elegance.

In its refined simplicity, Model 537 stands out owing to the combination of rich materials and ingenious, playful design. The large aluminium reflector in black or white is mounted asymmetrically on a lacquered or brushed brass stem, which is carefully twisted in a beautiful balancing act, coming to rest on an elegant marble base. As a vital part of the design, the stem reaches out through the reflector and beyond in a backward motion, giving the top of the stem a dual function as playful feature and practical handle.

Model 2065 consists of a diffuser made of two joined opalescent methacrylate saucers, suspended from the ceiling with a black painted aluminium canopy. The simplicity of the design and lightness of the materials makes for a perceptively weightless luminaire.

The model has been featured in a number of significant interior projects by Italian architects such as Vito Latis and Vittoriano Viganò, and became a widely popular model within the Arteluce Collection.

The large diffuser in orange, blue or white methacrylate provides a highly sophisticated light effect and is an essential part of the illusion and the play with perception. The spotlight in white painted aluminium is mounted on a tubular stem in polished or burnished brass, while a small brass bar at the base serves as a counterweight in the beautiful balancing act of the individual elements of Model 548. In the re-issue, the original incandescent bulb has been replaced by an LED source, and an optical dimmer switch has been integrated discreetly into the original design.
