Oplight is composed of a wall mounting and a flat, oval plate of powder-painted cast aluminium, equipped with integrated LEDs on its top. A diffuser of semi-transparent polycarbonate moulded by injection covers the LEDs and provides even, indirect illumination. The reduced, minimalist shaping and the appealing surface lacquer turn Flos Oplight into a versatile light fixture which adapts in the most various architectural contexts.
The Oplight wall lamp‘s future-oriented design is made obvious by the sustainable material composition. Injection moulded aluminium is a lightweight, durable material which is easily recyclable. The powder-painting method does not require solvents, which is eco-friendly.
The LED circuit board integrated in Oplight is highly efficient and after a life-time of 50,000 illumination hours or in case of a defective function, it can be replaced by a qualified person while the rest of the light fixture remains untouched. Because no glue is used when assembling the diverse components, the single parts can be exchanged and separately recycled.
