Ctr Meridienne Daybed

Italian designer Piergiorgio Cazzaniga does with the CTR collection what he is good at: making complex designs appear effortless. The frame of the meridienne is made of profiles in powdercoated stainless steel that are bent in one continuous line. The corners are straight, yet the tubes keep a round form, which requires great mastery. The backrest is attached to the frame at only 2 points and appears to float unsuspended above the seat. The open weave refers to the ancient tradition of weaving and gives flexible support to the back. The seat is upholstered with a water-repellent cushion which can be easily removed.

PH 5 Mini pendant

3,395

Released in 2019, Louis Poulsen’s PH 5 Mini pendant in brass pairs polished brass with pure white shades. Over time, the brass will develop a charming patina.

Louis Poulsen’s PH 5 Mini is a smaller version of the legendary PH 5 pendant, which was designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958. Due to the layered shades, the pendant gives a smooth and pleasant light with no glare. Launched in 2017, the PH 5 Mini was designed for the needs of modern living: it can be used as the main light in a small room or as a vivid detail in a larger space. The diameter of the main shade is 30 centimetres, which makes the pendant compact but still spectacular.

The classic PH 3½–3 pendant from Louis Poulsen features an innovative three-shade system developed by Poul Henningsen in the 1920s. The three mouth-blown opal glass shades with a sandblasted inner surface form a sculptural lamp that provides a pleasant, glare-free light and brings timeless elegance to any space. The brass-metallised base gives the PH 3½–3 pendant a warm, sophisticated finish.

The VL45 Radiohus has a beautiful round lampshade made of white opal glass that filters soft, uniform light. The opening at the bottom allows the light to direct downwards. The VL45 lamp is timeless, perfect for both general lighting and the dining table.

The Many Worlds of Dennis Hopper

A reluctant icon captures a decade of cultural transformation

During the 1960s, Dennis Hopper carried a camera everywhere—on film sets and locations, at parties, in diners, bars and galleries, driving on freeways and walking on political marches. He photographed movie idols, pop stars, writers, artists, girlfriends, and complete strangers. Along the way he captured some of the most intriguing moments of his generation with a keen and intuitive eye. A reluctant icon at the epicenter of that decade’s cultural upheaval, Hopper documented the likes of Tina Turner in the studio, Andy Warhol at his first West Coast show, Paul Newman on set, and Martin Luther King during the Civil Rights March from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.
