Giuseppe Chigiotti, by designing “Ping”, thinks back to those times now passed, and creates a “servante” declined in two versions: Ping I, characterized by the function of empty pockets, and Ping II, discrete surface for a glass or a book.

Sanremo Floor Lamp

The prototype of the Sanremo floor lamp was an engagement present from Dario Bartolini to Lucia Morozzi, given to her in the villa in Roccamare designed by Ernesto Nathan Rogers. Sanremo is composed of a slender metal trunk topped by “foliage” like that of a stylized palm tree, formed by lanceolate transparent or fluorescent green methacrylate leaves that radiate light. The prototype also called for a sound similar to the song of a cricket, eliminated in the production version. “Since we were supposed to be practicing architects, many people couldn’t grasp what we were up to. In reality many of our objects were created for reasons other than that of architecture: an engagement party, a wedding. Any opportunity was good enough to materialize our vision of the world.” Lucia Bartolini, 2007

Gherpe Table Lamp

The Gherpe table lamp does not belong to the traditional typologies of lighting fixtures placed on a surface, due to its form like the shell of a marine creature, and to its use of an industrial material like methacrylate. It represents one of the first examples of an interactive luminous object, which thanks to its relationship with the user is capable of changing its tone: from white light for illumination, to colored light to alter the emotional perception of a space.

6,920

PH 3/2 Table Lamp Limited Edition Brass/Opal is an exquisite design icon that adds an immediate touch of exquisite elegance to any décor. Poul Henningsen created the beautiful design in 1924 when he invented the famous three-shade system to ensure a glare-free, comfortable, and diffuse glow based on specific and exact calculations. The first PH lamp hit the market in 1927, and the collection has only grown in the years since.

Panthella Floor

Louis Poulsen has been creating top-quality lighting solutions for over a century. During this time, the label has worked with some of the world’s most loved designers and honed their philosophy of ‘function, comfort, and ambience’. The Panthella Floor Lamp comes from Danish designer Verner Panton. Panton is known for his futuristic designs, often rendered in plastic, with bright, bold colours. Much of his work was designed in the 1950s and ’60s, and is still just as popular today.

The Panthella Floor Lamp reflects Panton’s contemporary style. It consists of a opaque, domed shade, which flows gently down to a high shine circular base. It is an ideal example of the mid-century love of space-inspired furnishings. The domed shade allows light to be softly diffused, creating an ambient feel in any room. Its compact size means that it is perfect for smaller spaces and for living, dining, or bedrooms. It can also be paired with the miniature table lamp version of the design

Moonsetter floor lamp

The Louis Poulsen Moonsetter floor lamp is a very special piece of art with built-in LED technology. The light source is completely hidden in the floor lamp and shines towards the disc that can rotate 360° around its own axis. This metal disc has a white finish on one side and a reflective high-gloss chrome finish on the other. If you shine the light on the white side, you create diffuse and soft light, while the reflective chrome side bounces light directly into the room. By manually turning the disc, you decide which way the light is cast. The rotating footswitch allows you to dim the Louis Poulsen Moonsetter completely, as well as switching the floor lamp on and off.

PH 5 Monochrome pendant, pale rose

3,460

Louis Poulsen’s PH 5 Monochrome pendant gives the classic a fresh, contemporary twist with a matte finish. The elegant monochrome colour palette offers the luminaire an elegant look, emphasizing its unique design language.

Louis Poulsen’s PH 5 pendant light, designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958, is a Danish design icon that has gained immense global popularity. The pendant’s structure is both elegant and innovative: the beautiful, layered shades prevent glare and provide pleasant, warm-toned lighting in any room. The name of the pendant refers to its designer and the main shade’s 50-centimetre diameter. PH 5 pendant light is perfect above a dining table but also suits higher mounting in various architectural spaces.

PH 5 Monochrome Pendant Light Oyster Grey

Poul Henningsen developed the PH 5 in 1958 in response to constant changes made to the shape and size of incandescent bulbs by bulb manufacturers, naming it after
the size of the pendant’s main shade, which is 50 cm in diameter. When the lamp was introduced, he wrote, typically daringly, about how he had lost faith that the manufacturers of incandescent light bulbs would ever learn to consider common sense or have the consumer’s best interests at heart: “I have accepted fate, and with Louis Poulsen´s permission I have designed a PH fixture, which can be used with any kind of light source, Christmas lights and 100 W metal filament bulbs. Although a fluorescent tube would be too much to ask in the existing form!” Henningsen wanted to improve the colour reproduction characteristics of the light source in the PH 5. Small red and blue shades were therefore inserted to supplement the colour in the part of the spectrum where the eye is least sensitive the red and blue areas thereby subduing the light in the middle yellow green region where the eye is most sensitive. At the time, no one knew that the PH 5 would become synonymous with the PH light, which remains 100% glare free, irrespective of how the light is installed or which light source is used. The red and blue rings are however no longer necessary to achieve superior light quality, since today’s light sources reproduce daylight far better than in Henningsen’s time. Nonetheless, PH 5 continues to elevate even the most modern interiors in a range of colours today.
