Back in the 80s and 90s, the world-famous designer Ettore Sottsass and his team designed a number of wooden products for Alessi . In combination with his individual genius he also created the design for the wooden Twergi Pepper mill MP02 10. Alessi itself describes the colourful mill as perhaps the best design of a Alessi wooden product.
Since 1989, Alessi has been reviving the centuries-old tradition of manufacturing on the lathe. Many young designers were fascinated by the simplicity of the tool and have since designed various wooden products. The Twergi -collection includes pepper mills, corkscrews, jars and bowls.
The MP0210 pepper mill from Alessi is made of beech wood and is available in various cheerful colour combinations.
