The Rise & Shine Wall Mirror has been created by the Hunting & Narud Studio for the brand New Works. The London-based studio strives to provide durable, clever and meaningful pieces for spaces and those who dwell in them. The studio’s founders, Norwegian-born designers Amy Hunting and Oscar Narud, stay true to their Nordic roots with superior craftsmanship and sleek profiles. That can be seen in the Rise & Shine Wall Mirror which received a nomination for the Design of The Year Award in 2016. Its lines are clean and uncluttered and its whole look is bold and unexpected with an asymmetrical shape that draws the eye. It has an oak central point from which the circular mirror hangs. The two are held together with a dark cord that pulls and pushes the oak centre and the mirror so that the point of reflection is constantly changing. A solid brass or steel weight at the end of the cord helps to keep everything counter-balanced.
The Rise & Shine Wall Mirror has a height of 80 to 160cm and a diameter of 45cm. It can be adjusted to different heights to suit personal preferences. This unique mirror with changing points of reflection challenge the old concept of a traditional wall mirror.
