Designed by Paolo Rizzatto for the Italian brand Flos in 1973, the 265 wall lamp features a long, adjustable steel arm that can reach over two meters from the wall. Equipped with a cast iron counterweight and a lamp head with 360-degree rotation, the unique wall lamp defies the laws of gravity and the conventions of design. The sleek body and versatile adjustability make the 265 suitable for many kinds of spaces from offices to lounging, and the long arm can easily reach above a dining table, lounge chair or sofa set.
Launched in 2021, 265 Chromatica features Rizzatto’s original colour proposal for the lamp design. In 265 Chromatica, the luminaire is finished with vivid primary colours: yellow was assigned for the counterweight, blue for the arm, and red for the shade – each colour highlights one of the design’s key elements.
